- Please tell us your name and what you do here at Equaleyes?
My name is Mateja, but I also go by the (nick)name of sparkica. I’m COO during the day, but in the afternoons and evenings, I strive to give back to the community.
- What do you like to do for fun?
Fun is overrated; I only do serious things – like having serious fun and finding time to finish a story I started writing years ago. When I’m not reading or chasing the holy grail of productivity, I write, run, read, bike, hike, and volunteer, but not necessarily in this order.
- What’s your earliest childhood memory?
My Siamese cat was crawling under the blanket to take over my pillow. I fought with this furry beast for the ownership of the pillow for 20 years.
- What is the best piece of advice your mom or dad gave you?
My dad said: Look, Mateja, the easier path is not always the right one. Also, grab the bull by the horns and just own it.
- Who do you admire right now and why?
I admire a lot of people, especially the ones who aspire to do good things in the world and don’t just look out for themselves. If I would have to pick one, I’d say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
- If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?
It would definitely be comedy/drama or a mockumentary Tropical Thunder style with Ben Stiller in it. Oh, wait a minute, he couldn’t play me, could he? Still, I’d choose him. He usually portrays a character who’s smart, sometimes blunt or awkward, funny and serious at the same time, but good at the core. Just like me, I believe.
- What things do you not like to do?
I hate writing reports, even more than ironing. I don’t like to argue for the sake of arguing.
- Everyone has a good app idea. What’s yours?
App for folding laundry and storing it away in the closet. Also, an app to water the flowers. For everything else, I already have an app.
- What do you think robots dream about?
I believe robots have nightmares about humans taking over the world and making the robots do stuff they don’t like or don’t want to do.
- Imagine you were the CEO of a company… What would you make compulsory in the office and what would you definitely ban in the office?
I’d like to see/have these three things in any company, not just mine: coffee, good sense of humor and ability to step into each other shoes. If I mean this literally, it’s up to you.
- Tell us your darkest secret; we promise we won’t tell anyone. They’ll read it 😀
My darkest secret is…. xjalhaoiq0391ć1rf!#$Das_%”#XDF
